Is It Really Organic and Safe?

With all the information regarding lawsuits and controversial information regarding insecticides, it’s no wonder people are reluctant to use traditional chemicals to rid their garden of unwanted pests. There are alternatives, though. One alternative is Earth’s Ally Insect Control. This review will address the merits of this product and hopefully answer some questions you may have about it.

According to the United States company that manufactures this product, Earth’s Ally Insect Control is safe for people, pets and the planet. It also protects pollinators, including bees, and has a full line of bee safe gardening products. If you are interested in learning about the benefits of bees, please refer to my post, Helper Bees.

It has been tested by independent laboratories, field tested, farmer approved and been selected the most effective in the organic agricultural industry.

Earth’s Ally Insect Control has been approved and reviewed in the OMRI. “The Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI) is an international nonprofit organization that determines which input products are allowed for use in organic production and processing. OMRI Listed® products are allowed for use in certified organic operations under the USDA National Organic Program.”

The organization makes sure the products comply with organic standards.

So, yes, it is organic and safe.

Natural ingredients

So What’s Earth’s Ally Insect Control Made Out Of? – Other Info, Please

This insect control is a blend of rosemary, cloves and peppermint oils. It leaves no harmful residue and can be used on vegetables, fruits, flowers, trees and shrubs. The product controls spider mites, whiteflies, aphids, mealy bugs, leaf rollers and scale insects. It will kill and control all soft-bodied insects, however it is not effective on hard bodied insects like cucumber beetles.

Rosemary in a pot

Earth’s Ally Insect Control is safe for indoor and outdoor plants and has a natural aroma. It is bottled specifically for home gardeners and can be used both to prevent infestation and as an aggressive insect eliminator.

What It Is Not!

It is NOT a conventional lawn and garden product. It is not made from harmful chemicals that can destroy “good” insects or taint vegetables or fruit in your garden. And it will not cause Parkinson’s Disease, Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma or any other cancers that have been linked to other insecticides.

It is an organic product that is safe for the environment, pets, and humans.

But Is It Really Effective?

According to 99% of all reviews I have researched, it is effective on soft-bodied insects. It will prevent infestation and will mediate infestation on your plants and flowers.

Instructions for Use:

Concentrate

Preventive Care – (First Shake Concentrate)

  • mix 3/4 c (6 oz.) of concentrate with 1 gallon of water

  • apply fine mist to leaves and stems until it is saturated

  • do not apply in temperatures above 90 degrees

  • spray in the early morning or in the evening

  • spray every 7 to 10 days

Infestations:

Follow above instructions but apply every 5 days as needed

OR:

Use the Ready to Use spray.

The only negative reviews were from people needing to rid their garden of hard shelled insects. It states on the product that it will not alleviate those kinds of insects.

Product Benefits – Save Those Bees!

We all know our bee population is rapidly diminishing, so why not use a herbicide instead of an insecticide to save as many bees as possible? To learn more about bees and pollination, refer to my post on Helper Bees.

In addition to saving the bee population, you’ll also be creating a healthier environment for all of us in which to live. Think of your children and grandchildren!

Product Support

The product comes with a 30 day guarantee. There is a customer service number to contact if you have any questions and also a web page for more information.

There are many reasons to use this product.

As a result of all the above mentioned points, I find this product to be the real deal. I rate it a 4.9 out of 5 only because of the few reviews of people who were not totally convinced because they had not used it long enough.
